Race Meeting Report Thursday afternoon 9th July 2026

Thursday afternoon 9th July 2026 saw the Club run an eight (8) race program on a cold but dry winter's afternoon.

The meeting also included the running of two (2) races additionally sponsored by the NSW Standardbred Owners Association's First Past The Post Series, where the first member owned horse past the post (thus not necessarily the race winner), wins a $1,000 bonus. The two (2) winners were Club and NSWSOA Members Greg Coney and Andy Ison:

THE PUB DRIVE OF THE DAY: was won by MICHAEL FORMOSA driving Bat Matson from his own Ellalong Stables in Race 7 the Thread Effects - Embroidery Service Pace. MICHAEL receives a $30.00 Meal Voucher courtesy of sponsor The Pub, Gunnedah Rd Tamworth.

HAZELLS FARM & FERTILISER SERVICES LOCAL TRAINER AWARD:

This week's draw was won by trainer: SARAH RUSHBROOK.
