Wednesday afternoon 18th May 2022 saw the conducting of a nine (9) race meeting on a late autumn afternoon, with a light cool breeze evident for most of the afternoon.
The meeting saw the young drivers dominate with:
4 winning drives to Maitland based Brad Elder
2 winning drives to local Tom Ison
2 winning drives to Cessnock based Grace Panella
and 1 winning drive to the slightly older, Moonbi based Dean Chapple
The day's competition winners were:
THE PUB DRIVE OF THE DAY: was won by GRACE PANELLA driving IM QUICK AS FIRE NZ from the Clayton Harmey's Cessnock stables in Race 7 the Pacing For Pink Pace. Pacing For Pink is an annual fundraiser that raises funds for the McGrath Foundation.
