Thursday night 24th August 2023 saw the Club host a mid-year night race meeting with 8 races on the program. The weather was kind with the cool breeze abating for most of the meeting.
The meeting included the 1st anniversary hosting of the Barry Schipp Memorial, with AISTY BLING which was bred and is raced by the Schipp family taking out 3rd place.
Jack Chapple was back in town for the night, taking a driving double firstly behind AFTER DARN which is trainer by his father Dean and second behind NOR WESTA which is trained by his father Dean and raced by his mother Julie.
THE COMPETITION WINNERS WERE:
THE PUB DRIVE OF THE DAY: was won by JACK CHAPPLE driving AFTER DARN from his father Dean's Moonbi stables in Race 3 The Longyard Hotel Pace.
