Thursday afternoon 7th July 2022 - KIDS DAY AT THE PACEWAY - saw the conducting of an eight (8) race meeting on a cool and overcast winter's afternoon.
The heavy rainfall which had been received in the Hunter and adjacent coastal areas over the preceding few days, saw the New England Highway being closed at Singleton on the morning of the race meeting which resulted in 19 scratchings from the program. These together with one (1) local scratching, saw the eight (8) race program proceed with only 54 starters. The closed road and long alternate routes saw the TAB Tote not open for the race meeting and the SKY race caller not arriving on-site until just prior to race 3.
