Race Dates for 2012/2013.

HRNSW have released PROPOSED dates for the year 2012/2013.

While these are not yet sealed in steel, the Club have the same number of RACES as we did for this year but for TWO LESS MEETINGS. The Tamworth Harness Racing Club Board are not happy that HRNSW has not left our Meetings alone. It is a continuing fight!

Ideally, the North West needs a balanced year of AT LEAST 30 dates.

A number of Clubs have lost dates including Dubbo and Parkes, Bulli and Bankstown with the last two Clubs suggesting that the Country Clubs should be the ones to take the cuts.

Rest assured as far as the Board of the Tamworth Harness Racing Club are concerned, THIS IS NOT GOING TO HAPPEN.

I anticipate that a very frank discussion will take place at the next Harness Racing Clubs Committee Meeting on the 4^th April, 2012

All Owners and Trainers are invited to write or e-mail HRNSW to lobby for an equitable share of the Racing Calendar. I am aware a number of Owners and Trainers have already made representations to support the Board of the Tamworth Harness Racing Clubs strong views but more needs to be done by Friday 16^th March 2012 before the FINAL DATES are released.
