Dear Members and potential Members

 

Another 12 months has passed and it is membership renewal time once again. It’s pleasing to see that the industry’s Owners and Trainers are supporting the Clubs 34 annual race meetings with near full fields and recently with an extra 9th race needing to be added to meet demand for the strong number of nominations received.

 

For those of you who have not attended race meetings of late, you will pleased to hear that Harness Racing NSW has invested in long overdue safety upgrades to the area in front of the grandstand, replacing the old tiered areas with an expansive flat and disabled accessible concrete area.

 

At the same time the Club has been attending to the upgrade of the area between the eastern end of the Grandstand and the Professionals Tower. Stage 1 of this work, the Presentation Area and associated pathways is now complete and offers safe and comfortable viewing of races from within close proximity of the finish line.

Stage 2 of the works are currently subject of a government grant application and will see the area immediately behind the Presentation Area concreted and a permanent shade structure erected to allow viewing from the safety of ground level, while being sheltered from the sun and rain.

 

These works, together with the many gardens and hedges which have been added to the property since its acquisition by the industry in 2017 are starting to make a visit to our race meetings a much more pleasant experience.

 

As an added bonus to membership for 2022-23, The Pub Group has increased their involvement with the Club, offering with each membership renewal:

  • a “The Pub Group Gold Card” to enable card holder benefits at all of their locations.

Please complete and return the enclosed Gold Card Application Form with your renewal if you don’t already have a The Pub Group Gold Card.

  • a “Buy One Meal Receive One Free” Gift Voucher which can be retrieved at any of their locations.

This card/voucher will be supplied when your new membership card is issued.

 

Additionally for Owners and Trainers who are also Club Members, there is the Multiquip Golden Guitar Members Bonus. Renew your membership by 1st August 2022 to be eligible for the 2023 bonus, which will be awarded to the best placed member trained or member owned horse in the Multiquip 2023 Golden Guitar Final, or in the heats if not claimed in the final.

 

As always, the Tamworth Harness Racing Club values all of its members and thanks-you for your continued support throughout the past year and hopes that you will continue and support especially The Pub – Gunnedah Road as it moves to provide the hospitality and entertainment services that the Club is unfortunately unable to offer outside of race meetings at the Golden Guitar Paceway.

 

Membership rates have been retained at the same level as last year, these being:

  • Full Member:                                                         $55.00
  • Aged Pensioner:                                                    $27.50
  • Harness Racing Licensed Person                           $33.00

 

Membership Payment options are:

  • Payments can be transferred to the Club’s Bank Account

using your Membership Number and Surname as the reference.

 

  • Mail a completed membership form together with a Cheque for payment to P.O. Box 3364 Tamworth 2340.

 

  • Pay in person during office hours Monday to Friday or during Race Meetings where we have EFTPOS available to accept payment by CARD.
